Allyship is active and intentional. However, many people who consider themselves allies, despite their best intentions, do not know how to actively support the minorities surrounding them. This leads to a work environment full of microaggressions and lack of support.
This microlearning experience is built to teach learners how to become an effective ally that creates positive change for their marginalized colleagues.
This microlearning course was developed through Articulate Rise and provides a branching scenario activity that simulates the learner selecting actions that show advocacy and allyship to a marginalized co-worker.

As I worked through the analysis phase, I decided this course would be best paired with the Microaggressions course because it is an extender of the topics taught in that course. Due to this, I felt that a microlearning experience would best fit the learner's needs.
I created an outline in Miro detailing the branching scenario, including the feedback for each answer choice, the dialogue for the "Ask Josie" button, branching paths, and all potential outcomes.
Afterward, I drafted the course outline on Word to to ensure that I only included vital information in the experience.
While in the development stage of ADDIE, I drafted the storyboard after completing the outlines. I used Figma to create the wireframes for the storyboard and relied on research, my own knowledge, and the knowledge of the store manager who acted as my SME to draft and edit all content within the course, including the script for the explainer video.
Because this course is designed to be a microlearning experience, I thought Articulate Rise would be best to deliver it. I relied on the Adobe Strock library for all images and video used in the course itself and the course introduction video, and I used Adobe Premiere Pro to create it. I used PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator to create all avatars, backgrounds, and graphics used in the course and scenario activity.
